The Penn State Berks women’s soccer team was narrowly edged out, 2-1 to visiting Albright College on Thursday afternoon’s season opener. With the score deadlocked at one apiece for most of the second half, Albright’s Lauren Panichelle found the back of the net with 3:15 remaining in the game.

Penn State Berks women’s soccer teams completed the best season in the programs history with a 2-0 loss to Penn State Harrisburg in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Semi-Finals on Saturday morning.

The women’s soccer team had another first placing five members of the 2009 season on North Eastern Athletic Conference All Conference Teams as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
