Lowy Finishes 2nd Berks Falls to Alvernia

Andy Lowy (Sophomore/Freedom) finished 2^nd at the Alvernia dual meet with a time of 31:30 to pace Penn State Berks in their opening race of 2009. 

The men finished with a team score of 32 and fell to Alvernia University on Saturday.  Brian Hamilton (Freshman/Cedar Crest) was the only other Berks runner to finish in the top five.  Hamilton ran the course in 35:18 while Ben Rood (Sophomore/Cedar Crest) finished the course in 35:50 which placed him 6^th on the day. 

The men will return to action on Saturday September 19^th when they will travel to Cedar Crest College for the Mule/Falcon Invitational.
