Men Fall to Albright College

Penn State Berks (1-7) fell behind Albright (6-0) early and never got in stride as they lost 85-62 to the visiting Lions on Tuesday evening at the Beaver Community Center.

The Nittany Lions were outrebounded in the contest 43-38 and turned the ball over 18 times which contributed to the loss.

The visiting Lions jumped out to a 12-4 advantage and held Berks to just 8 field goals in the opening half.  Albright built a fifteen point lead going into the locker rooms and would never be threatened in the second half defeating Berks in dominating fashion.

Kemian Flowers (Sophomore/Wyomissing) led the way for Berks with a double double of 19 points and 10 rebounds.  Adam Fusco (Senior/Norristown) was the only other Berks player in double figures with 16 points on 7-15 shooting on the night.

Albright was led by Zac Shaeffer who finished with 19 points going 7-10 from the field including 4-7 from behind the three point arc.  Mark Ashcroft contributed 15 point going 5-7 from three point range.

Penn State Berks will be idle until after the Christmas holiday and return to action on January 6th when they travel to Delaware Valley College for a 7pm tipoff.
